We live in uncertain times with the COVID-19 pandemic spreading across the UK. One of the biggest measures against the spread of the virus is self-isolation and social distancing. That way we can flatten the curve, and make sure our NHS doesn’t get overwhelmed by COVID-19 patients.
Another way you can help is by making sure your car interior is as clean as it can be. We spend a lot of time in our cars, so keeping them clean is essential during this outbreak. At Days Personal Choice we have selected a few tips and tricks to keep the interior clean.

Choosing the right materials
Focus on cleaning the ‘touch’points in your car. Steering wheel, keyfob, gearstick and handbrake are the obvious points. But don’t forget other spots like touchscreens, the seatbeatls and the doorhandles.
Each surface in your car needs a different cleaning product. For touchscreens, use a damp microfibre cloth. You can use a antibacterial spray (withouth BLEACH) and spray it on the microfibre cloth for a more thorough cleaning.
For the steering wheel try getting a cleaning product thats suitable for leather, as you don’t want to discolour the leather. Same goes for leather seats, only use products that are especially made for leather surfaces.
If you don’t have a special cleaning product for leather, using good ol’water and soap is fine as well. Soap has been proven to fight off COVID-19. Don’t use too much water or force, the last thing you want is a car full of suds…
For fabric interiors, a damp cloth will get rid of most stains. Try not to use too much water, it can take a long time to dry and cause mold in the cushions of your car.
At DAYS Personal Choice we take the hygiene and cleanliness of our cars seriously. We have stepped up our cleaning regimes and are happy to assist you with any questions you might have.
